The Japanese automaker claims that the specifications is based on the customers interest and requests.
Subaru WRX 2022 was announced in September, and while it’s not the most conventional, we don’t think its style is ugly.
The fifth-generation car is being criticized due to its quirky design. With the introduction of a brand new GT trim, which includes electronically controlled dampers as well as the fact that a manual gearbox is an option
Subaru is evidently focused on keeping their most loyal customers happy.
Indeed, the company has made this clear through an interview. Interviewing Automotive News, car line director of planning of Subaru of America, Michael Redic states that the company relied heavily on feedback from customers to create the WRX superior than it was before and still remain loyal to its tradition.
Subaru WRX 2022 specifications are made for the customers
“The customers love the performance of the car and then we’re just asking for it to be delivered in a way that is more comfortable for daily driving, but also more capable, especially with the suspension,” Redic says.
“We know WRX customers want something that’s powerful and it is one of the most powerful cars in its segment, compared to the direct competitors like [the Volkswagen Golf] GTI and [Honda Civic] Si.”
The manual transmission is not a pleasant return to the scene, Subaru has put in a lot of effort to make the automated Subaru Performance Transmission better too.
The upshifts are now 30% faster, while downshifts are 50% faster than the auto gearbox that came with the original WRX.
It is evident, then, that 2022’s WRX is designed to please fans; however, when new models are being proposed and many of them will be electric – you may be worried about the fun aspect of the future Scoobys.
Redic however, says that Subaru will continue to provide exciting driving, even when the age of electrification is gaining momentum.
“It would be ignorant to not realize that that’s going to have some impact on our future products,” Redic added,
“Subaru, Toyota, Honda, Stellantis – everybody is going to be impacted to some degree, but in the meantime, we’re going to deliver a new pocket rocket to the market.”
We are looking eagerly to see what Subaru will do next, but for as long as we can keep our fans an integral element of the process of development We have faith we can count on the coming years to bring excitement.
