Brand new Mercedes-AMG EQS is built with a dual electric motor ? Is it quicker than a Porsche Taycan 4S ?

The 2022 Mercedes-AMG EQS is an ultimate luxury combining power and performance.

Today Mercedes revealed their first fully electric car, the Mercedes-AMG EQS in the Munich Auto Show.

The performance-oriented electric vehicle consists of two AMG-electric motors, both are powered by a 108-kWh battery pack.

AMG EQS have dual specific electric motors, Generally Mercedes-AMG EQS produces 649 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque, but in this EV it has a specific known as Race Start mode together with a boost function in AMG Dynamic Plus package that increases the output to 751 hp and 752 lb-ft of torque.
Mercedes-AMG claims that the EQS can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 155 mph.

It is faster than the Porsche Taycan 4S, which will hit 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, but it is slightly slower than the Taycan Turbo it will hit in 3 seconds.

Apart from such performance, this feature will drain the car’s battery.

But Mercedes claims that the pack is capable of getting 186 miles of range within 15 minutes of charging.

The German auto maker assures that this car isn’t just an EQS but a product that’s actually been developed and tuned by the AMG team in Affalterbach proper.

The Benz EV’s transverse stabilizers were changed but the wheel carriers and control arms are similar with existing AMG cars.

Featuring Six-piston front and single-piston rear AMG brakes also with red calipers and huge ceramic discs.

Standard air suspension is much increased with adaptive damping and rear steer.

Built in two pressure relief valves, one for compression and another for rebound for extreme comfort and performance.
Another feature such as 21-inch wheels, rear-wheel steering, a panoramic sunroof, and an air suspension system.

AMG also offers an all-wheel-drive electric sedan with a set of high performance-oriented brakes.

Interiors are well finished and stitched in red, mainly the instrument panel and beltlines are finished in space gray MB-Tex with Neotex grain and red topstitching.

Other AMG parts such as the seats, pedals, floor mats, and steering wheel everything looks stunning and classy.

The AMG EQS looks a bit sportier than its non-AMG counterparts

Featuring Hyperscreen system with AMG-specific graphics and an optional AMG Track Pace function that encompasses a lap timer.

The brand provides five drive modes—Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and also customizable to alter power, suspension, steering, and cooling.

High speed and sporty looks are the main attraction for the AMG EQS

Mercedes revealed that they “special loudspeakers, subwoofers and a sound generator to create a awesome sound experience in two versions known as ‘Authentic’ or ‘Performance.’”

We can experience fake sound inside the cabin for a wild driving experience, also the sound can be heard outside as per the mode.

Two artificial sound modes are available in this particular model: so it can generate noise both inside and outside of the vehicle for an exciting driving experience like that of a high performance sports car ,when compared to other EV’s here the AMG lead the role.

Mercedes says the AMG EQS is just the first vehicle in their batch of future AMG EV series.

Hope the Mercedes-AMG EQS will arrive in U.S. dealers early next year.
